It’s not that I don’t think 5G is a threat, but I think it’s a far bigger threat to cable than to rural fixed wireless. To compete where the dense population is is going to occupy the capex budgets of the carriers for years. I don’t see the industry changing its tactics much - promise the moon to get what they want from the regulators and then go back to ignoring rural. The formula has worked for years and looks like it’s going to work again.
