It’s not that I don’t think 5G is a threat, but I think it’s a far bigger threat to cable than to rural fixed wireless. To compete where the dense population is is going to occupy the capex budgets of the carriers for years. I don’t see the industry changing its tactics much - promise the moon to get what they want from the regulators and then go back to ignoring rural.
