Are they stuck with the 'new' brand Xfinity store or do they just have a
simple local office?

The people at my local office are awesome. Super easy to deal with, I would
recommend it. The xfinity store gets to be.... less flexible, less nice and
less time with each customer IMO. (my one experience in the Chicagoland
area sucked, for my Grandma.)
