Roll the hardware and make it up in software. In this case, the software was a shopping cart.

The 5XHD was supposed to be the AP originally, but the hardware was missing some features so they rolled a new version. Ubiquiti's online Airlink tool is telling me that this equipment gets 256QAM with 6db weaker signal than the AirMax products. In the Airlink tool I plop in a Rocket Prism AC with +30 EIRP and drag the subscriber out to 0.9 miles and he's got 256QAM and a -58 RSSI. I switch the equipment to LTU with same size antennas, same Tx power, and same channel size; and I can drag the subscriber out to about 2 miles with a -65 and he's still got 256QAM. How likely is that to happen in real life? Anybody already tried this stuff? -Adam -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- Carl Peterson PORT NETWORKS 401 E Pratt St, Ste 2553 Baltimore, MD 21202 (410) 637-3707 -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
