Ubiquiti's online Airlink tool is telling me that this equipment gets
256QAM with 6db weaker signal than the AirMax products.
In the Airlink tool I plop in a Rocket Prism AC with +30 EIRP and
drag
the subscriber out to 0.9 miles and he's got 256QAM and a -58
RSSI. I
switch the equipment to LTU with same size antennas, same Tx
power, and
same channel size; and I can drag the subscriber out to about 2 miles
with a -65 and he's still got 256QAM.
How likely is that to happen in real life? Anybody already tried
this stuff?
