Need to strap one of those SAF thingies to a drone.

Has it been windy lately?

We personally had a dish mounted on a pipe that didn’t have a set screw
(installer mistake) and on a windy day it rotated almost 90*. Luckily it was
in a very rural area so it didn’t interfere, but around Chicago it would have
caused lots of issues.

If the operator isn’t sending a lot of data or uses the link as a backup they
might not notice right away.

Could also be one of the yahoos who buys a mimosa or ubiquiti link and just
installs with out licensing the link because they are irritant idiots.

SAF makes an inexpensive and very useful spectrum analyzer. Sounds like a good
time to buy one and do some war driving.

Just had another link in by Chicago lose modulation last night. At
Midnight last night, it took our link down completely, They must have
been playing with power/channel because now it's just running at half
modulation in 1 direction. At least it's not the direction most traffic
goes.

This is now the 3rd licensed link that we have had affected by noise in
the last year. And yes, we do have path protection.

My Theory, just because I don't like them, is that the HFT guys don't
bother to aim properly, or actually Install at the Coords on their PCN.
