Physical access requirements, do they need access at 4am Sunday
morning? Backup requirements, are they requiring you to provide all
data backup? Spare requirements, do you need a 2nd physical machine
sitting idle with extra Hard disks? OS Support, are they expecting you
to Admin the machine.
Short of a server for an existing client, every time we run the numbers
for something like this, we decide it's just easier to tell the
potential customer to just go get a machine from 1&1.

This is from a real, current customer, right?
Whenever I get inquiries about dedicated servers out of the blue, it’s
a scam.

It seems like a hundred years since anyone wanted a dedicated server
(I thought AWS crushed that market?), but I got that request today.
My assumptions on my costs are:
* amortized cost of the server
* amortized cost of the physical space
* electric
* A/C
Any costs am I forgetting? Asking the group because that part of the
brain has gotten dusty.
