I love the fact that old friends here can trash talk each other and most people don’t get hot about it. I do it for sport and amusement. I presume Bill and Ken do too. Steve can always be counted on to throw a squib into the mix. Used to be we had declared no politics during lent and lent was extended. Then in the latter years we just put the OT on the subject line inviting folks to scroll on by.

Carr and Kimmel and "jawboning" The fine was in the neighborhood of $700 to $800 million (I forget the actual amount). I think it was inflated because of his behavior, but I did not follow it that closely. The fine was invalidated, but I think it should have been reduced to something more appropriate. The felon made numerous threats to the judge in the case, and I don't think it played in his favor. bp <part15sbs{at}gmail{dot}com> On 9/22/2025 10:11 AM, Jan-GAMs wrote: Any other person this would have been a class "C" felony and jail for years and years. The IRS and the NY department of revenue were not offended. Meh they said. This was seriously thin soup. But they got it rammed through. All individually were misdemeanors. Equivalent to jay walking or spitting your gum on the street. However NY has a rule that if you have enough misdemeanors in one pile you can convert them to a felony. So anyone saying: ” yeah that felon” gets a snicker and smirk from me. Like, is that the best you can do? I have daughters and grand-daughters and I know he's been on that island with Jeffrey and on the Lolita express more than once by his own words. That's another factoid that makes him disgusting to me. Do you need more than juries to know you have to agree for a serial rapist to be put in jail? How about the prisons in Utah? You want them to release all the rapists because you personally don't know and don't want to vilify/judge them? I didn't personally meet Hitler nor Stalin, either. I think that's pretty bad to give criminals that big of a break. Rape, child rape, bank fraud, tax fraud, the list gets too extensive... because now it's escalated up to murder, multiple. The only explanation is organized crime made a deal they (the GOP) couldn't refuse! I didn't like him at all 30 years ago, found his TV shows offensive, found everything about him to be rude, crud and lewd, repulsive in every way. Only thing I can figure is the state of Nevada said he couldn't own a casino in their state because he was mafia and I agree with their opinion. He must have made an offer to the GOP and Supreme court they couldn't refuse (godfather) and they took the offer. On 9/21/25 11:22, Bill Prince wrote: Not mixed at all for me.
