Yeah, the SM-limited AP code is already there. Makes sense.

Now what about the damn SM license keys!? I want to see 20Mbps base SM and upgrade to uncapped for $100. Not gonna happen, I know.

I have a fair number of 450 APs with less than 10 SMs. They probably will eventually have more. But in the meantime, I could be spending that money on SMs. And then a license upgrade later. It is a zero sum game, we only have so much money. If we spend it on stuff that brings in more money, now we have more money to spend.

Talking at the cambium booth today they are seriously considering a lite 450 ap in all frequency bands with existing hardware and a 10 user cap. Price would be half what full ap is with license key upgrade availiable to get full capacity at price difference from what full ap would have been to begin in the first place. I asked them when and they said by end of this quarter...
