I would even reconsider my epmp deployment strategy…

Thats exactly what I told them. I would sectorize more towers and use less
omnis if the AP cost was lower. I told them this is crucial that they implement
this lite AP ASAP to the product line with how everything is starting to heat
up with Mimoso, otherwise i told them everyone's gonna jump ship again like
they did when UBNT came to town. The lite FSK AP was too little, too late in
the game a few years back. Everybody had already jumped ship... The cambium guy
agreed with me.

I would love this. Now I can spend half as much on a 4 sector tower that will
only need to serve 40 customers. I have a lot of towers like this and I hated
to spend 12 grand so I just used an omni. And I hated doing that.

They did that with 100 series, I still have one of those APs out there.

I have a fair number of 450 APs with less than 10 SMs. They probably will
eventually have more. But in the meantime, I could be spending that money on
SMs. And then a license upgrade later. It is a zero sum game, we only have so
much money. If we spend it on stuff that brings in more money, now we have
more money to spend.

Talking at the cambium booth today they are seriously considering a lite 450 ap
in all frequency bands with existing hardware and a 10 user cap. Price would be
half what full ap is with license key upgrade availiable to get full capacity
at price difference from what full ap would have been to begin in the first
place. I asked them when and they said by end of this quarter...
