A lot of times that doesn't include tethering. They get unlimited to the phone but open up the hot-spot feature and it's a whole different charge.

That's probably close to how much usage their mobile data plan gives them for the whole month for all their devices put together. So after an hour they would potentially be into overusage charges, which can be as high as $10 per GB on mobile. Play on the uncertainty of never knowing if you will get a $1000 cellphone bill because your kids watched Youtube all weekend and you didn't check your data usage. If the customer says they have an "unlimited" data plan, that may take digging into the fine print to see what convoluted definition their carrier uses for "unlimited". How would you feel if you bought a new Tesla and could drive 140mph but a charge only let you drive to the end of your block? Wouldn't you feel the salesmen deceived you? Also, have fun networking your wireless printer, smart TV, home security system, smart light bulbs, game consoles, etc. all via an LTE phone or mobile hotspot. But the main factor is data usage. We get lots of people switching from LTE for this reason. LTE is a great mobile solution. When you are at home, you need a fixed wired or wireless solution, something that gives you a high enough usage cap to do things like watch video and download software updates without blowing through your usage cap and paying huge overusage fees. -----Original Message----- From: Matt Sent: Monday, February 16, 2015 10:15 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [AFMUG] LTE Speed How do you respond to a customer on your cheapest package that complains there LTE phone is faster then there wireless connection they purchased? I think they are near a tower and are getting something like 20+ mbps speed test on LTE.
