I wonder who is behind the RF Elements people. They have invested a ton of
money into tooling. Not cheap to release products like that.

My bad. RF Armor, RF Elements. Sheesh.

For Rockets there are two different shields. One is the "Rock Shield" which
shields the original Rocket case. Second there is the shield that bolts onto
some of the parabolic dishes that provides slightly better sidelobe performance
on the dishes themselves.

RF armor shield you mean? Unless you've gotten a hold of those neat RF
elements Rocket case.

I don't see a lot of point in bothering with the Titanium Rockets... the
standard Rockets are XW hardware now, so you get the faster processor. if you
want the better shielding just get those RF elements shields and it will still
be cheaper than a Ti or if you're using RF armor, it's irrelevant anyway. If
you need more than 100M ethernet, get a real backhaul.

between the Rocket 5M and the Titanium with 20MHz channels, especially if you
have RF Armor shields.

We have two up. I can say they are better than the Rockets they
replaced but can’t speak to failure rates.

We see a very high failure rate on Titanium radios...even the new XW
version.

Working great. No GPS of course but immediately saw throughput
improvements.

Are the Tis actually working for you? They have a troubled past and
the outlook on the new ones is still uncertain.

We are replacing Rockets with Titanium AP and antennas. We see
instant performance improvements particularly with links over 12 miles.

How many of you are using the RF armor shields or similar on your
Rocket radios? Do you have a before and after scenario in real world
