A few months ago they interviewed a travel editor on the CBS morning
news. He was of the opinion that you needed to pick your airline very
carefully if you want to take advantage of this. many of the programs
are making it harder and harder to actually redeem your miles.

None of the rewards programs are the same, and the airlines are
changing the rules all the time. Not a simple answer.
