Hey guys, When we install the antenna somewhere besides the home where the cable needs to be trenched back to the house, we always submit a locate for utilities. That covers the big things but what I'm worried about are underground sprinklers, propane gas lines, dog fence, etc. that are private and wouldn't be marked by utility companies.
What do you guys do to accurately locate these other things underground before you trench the yard and cut something important? I know we can ask the homeowner but they won't know or they'll forget and we'll have an unhappy customer who is mad at us. Any ideas for the best tools to trace metal things in the ground to mark them before we trench?
