No, some type of commercial Ham Equipment for transmitting data.  However, it 
also did voice and we moved that bad boy up to 27MHz one night for fun.   The 
Yagi was interesting in that even with it’s size, the gain wasn’t that much but 
the SWR was essentially flat for 20 or 30Mhz.

Isn’t there a NY-Chicago HFT link using skywave propagation at HF or VHF 
frequencies?  I know there’s a big antenna that looks like a ham radio antenna

I know a company that was running an 80GHz link in Vegas out to 8.1 miles but 
if someone spit in the air in the path it went down.  This is also why they 
aren’t in business any more besides the inept management.

Yup, there's a ton of HFT guys doing crazy things. 80 GHz links 10 miles long. 
I beleive I recall an 18 mile 23 GHz link. They really stretch things out...

You can clear the lake when you launch of 1k' buildings.  :-)
