Years ago my mom had internet service from her cableco. She told me the deal was a phone (VoIP) and Internet.
I was trying to support her remotely and it was terrible. I called the cableco and she was getting the basic triple play: Basic Cable Phone Internet... 80kbps! I wanted mom to upgrade so I could help her when needed. She said no; Facebook and email worked just fine. This deal offered by the cableco damn near killed the local telco. ryan -- D.
