Fuses or circuit breakers when paralleling batteries are really non optional.

Run each ground wire to a ground block or bus bar. Run each power wire to a
fuse and bus the other sides together. The least expensive way is probably the
dual level DIN rail fuse blocks if you’re talking fairly low current. You can
also get multiposition fuse blocks for ATC style blade fuses, Duracomm makes
some, you can also find them at auto parts stores. Personally I like DIN rail
circuit breakers which also make a convenient disconnect switch, but yes they
do cost a bit more.

n+1 wires on one 1/4" QD post is exactly what that does. Maybe I don't
understand....

I would lean towards the standard of fusing between paralleled batteries
though. At least with large-ish batteries that can dump enough current from a
good string to another with a shorted cell and burn up your wiring, which
pretty much acts as a fuse itself, but still. For short #10's, I would put a
40A fuse. I believe APC used 50 or 60A fuses with #10. That's kinda scary.

That's pretty neat! I need two wire one F tab though.

I hit send too quick. This is what APC does. Here is the Power Pole
Connector that they use. Pretty much a standard.

My only idea right now is to solder the wires together near the
terminals and then tape/wrap it.
