There was a time in history where the AP had errors on a good perfect cable until you put in a surge suppressor. Then the errors went away.

For example, We typically hardest the UBNT radios and left the Mikrotiks to auto. Things seemed happier this way. The Gigabit specification says it should be auto everything.
