Getting the full Gigabit can be a bit tricky.

We have providers near us, including ourselves, that have a speedtest.net
server on a 10Gbps link.

If you can find one of those it would be best, nearer in 'hops' on a tracert
the better.

Also, try upgrading your browser. The full Gigabit takes an upgraded browser.

I've actually seen better results a lot of times on random computer from IE
or Edge than Chrome.

so we have a gig backbone connection - finally purchased a "semi recent"
computer that should be able to handle a descent speedtest. fastest we've
gotten is like 660 meg on the epb fiber optic in chattanooga. anyone know of a
test on speedtest.net where we should be able to get nearly the full gig?

i see my neighbors shelby broadband and jmf solutions on there but still get
faster speeds from chattanooga...

  thanks in advance ;)
