That's my point in the opposite direction. If price were no object,
perhaps the whole world would have iPhones. Unfortunately for Apple,
price is an object, and most people in the world have gone the other way.
I think it's the same thing for GoPro.
If GoPro only wants to sell in the US, then fine. It's a big world out
there.

Sure, but the point is there are plenty of people that will buy
something just because of the brand, even if there are alternatives
that are cheaper and better (or at least that look better on paper).

80% of the people in the world (not just the US) buy Android.
iPhone is mainly a US phenomenon. First world problem I guess.

Just playing devil's advocate here...your same logic would

There is a lot more competition in that space now, and many
of the competitors products are both pretty darn good, and a
lot less expensive. If I was in the market, I wouldn't
automatically get a GoPro. Just sayin' if I'm thinking that
way, I'm betting a lot of other people are too.

It won't matter if it's disruptive or not... it's coming
from GoPro, who has a HUGE following. Everyone will want
one and buy one as soon as they can... sales go through
the roof, stock price goes up... sell your stock at that
point.
The stock was as high as $80+ per share in the last two
years... it's at $12 today... surely it has room to grow
to $15 - $20 per share. :)

I think Fitbit will be a good one... it would have to
be a little longer
term play... probably closer to 9-10 months... after
the holiday season
sales and they report their 4Q earnings. Of course,
GPRO will probably
have similar results after they release their drone
in time for holiday
shopping. :)

Hopefully people that invested in GPRO when I

I still think it will go to $14-$15 over the
next 3-4 months... but you never want to get
greedy with the stock market either... LOL
