I just never drank the kool-aid. I had some very unpleasant experiences back in the 90's and I swore off. I still find their GUI overly restrictive, cumbersome, and non-intuitive. Sure you can use it like a Unix box, but Unix (eh, Linux) boxes are lot cheaper if you just need something straightforward.

There was a time not so long ago when Apple was nowhere near synonymous with 
trendy. The RISC vs. CISC debate during the PPC era wasn't too trend setting to 
your average person. How times have changed.
