Totally agree…. folks who contact me out of the blue I always ask where they 
got my contact information (and I use my personal email address for this list)

Some answer NANOG list … which is a bad answer and the worst one I get 
sometimes is my contact information from PeeringDB - which had for a long time 
a disclaimer on the homepage that if you use the contact information from their 
site and someone finds out they would publicly “name and shame” them :)
