What is the "spam"? If you are referring to the thing you mentioned to a
few of us last week, maybe present it to the list owner and see if he
thinks it would be something beneficial for the industry and therefor
warrant a public posting. If it is just for pushing product, then I go with
no. My own general policy as a vendor is to even reply to questions related
to a solution we have OFFLIST unless is is really general in nature. I
always keep the subject and append it with OFFLIST so they know I'm not
just sending random BS. A couple times when I've had no other way of
reaching someone, I've used the email I find on a list, but I don't
remember ever doing that to sell product and I always tell them it was a
last resort to get in touch.
