A Mimosa B5 and B5c are the units currently having port "flapping issues".

Is this for C5s, A5s, or something else. We haven't had any cat5 issues with either. My techs would kill me if I told them they needed to use Cat6 on C5 installs. It is just a PITA to install the connectors. Not sure if Shireen has fixed it yet, but the spools in boxes for the cat6 also had an issue where the sides of the spool would jam and then the cable would get messed up and not spool out right.

No, it's not very friendly when putting the plugs on for sure.

I really hate CAT6 when it comes to terminating it. One would
think CAT5e would be just fine.

Cat 5e and Cat6 are both intended to run GigE at 100 meters. Did they
elaborate on why that would make a difference?
I would question them on that before I start sending climbers
        up, but
        I'm an a**hole.

We recently received a recommendation from Mimosa to
replace our shielded Cat 5 with Cat6. We've been using
Shireen lately and they have a Cat 6 product. What would
you use? Has anyone had problems with using Cat 5 with
            Mimosa?
