Atheism is just another belief system. You could meditate and realize
that it's not a simulation but an iterative virtual reality with the
goal of reducing the entropy inherent to our consciousness as much as
possible and prepare us for existence beyond attachment to embodiment ...
You literally need to ignore the core of all big Asian philosophies,
world religions, native American wisdom and thousands of contemporary
Zen masters and enlightened beings in order to be able to stick with
that limited mindset of a lesswrong.com user.
AGI is just as much God as you are once you transcend the belief in the
psychological "I". We are all the same unbound consciousness ... and
calling oneself "atheist" makes as much sense as calling yourself "Night
Elf" when it's clear that you exist beyond game characters or physical
embodiment.
Your AGI "God" will tell you the same thing as Buddha or Jesus did: you
are transpersonal conciousness ... not the "human being experience" you
are having ... just with fancy contemporary analogies ... stuff people
have been pointing out for 3000+ years ...
