"Utility" is broad "symbol" is broad perhaps they are related?
Utility/usefulness within the context in which they represent. Symbols are like c++ pointers. It's interesting when the symbol becomes something in itself. I think of them in terms of computational resource reducers. But I guess it matters what context the symbol "symbol" is being referred to... like internal symbolic cognition verse external storage and communication though there are parallels there. IMO some symbols are qualia representations, compressed impressed samples symbolized for communication representing noncommunicable qualia. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Td2287eb2b142cb0b-M39553a6dc3b2ea9f94c3cd7b Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
