Meh. AI.gov is about Trump's executive order promoting AI in American government and industry. But without funding, it's just words. China will be the world's leader in technology in the next decade. Trump's trade war, visa restrictions, ban on Chinese technology like Huawei and WeChat, and delisting Chinese companies from NYSE are all helping China win the race sooner.
Isn't Google and OpenAI and Facebook and Nividea king of AI innovation and implementation and the internet? All 4 are based in USA California (which is a remarkably weird pattern), not China, despite China having the most human population.

Jacques Pitrat was a French AI researcher, probably one of the first ones in France. He was born in 1934 and died in oct. 2019.

His last book

Artificial Beings: the Conscience of a Conscious Machine

ISBN-13: 978-1848211018

is about AI.
