My brief descriptions. Consciousness is what thinking feels like. Qualia is what perception feels like. Free will is what action feels like.
Positive reinforcement of computation, input, and output evolved to give us a will to live. We want to preserve these things by not dying. Wolpert's theorem says a computer cannot model itself. It should be no surprise that we can't explain our own beliefs.
