Previous Training will not always be more primitive than a product of abstract 
thinking, but in *order to implement the insight that metacognition can 
provide* you need to be able to symbolically represent information in order to 
transform it (if you will) into information that is much more useful.  The 
reading and replying to text creates example of symbolic transformations that 
you should be able to consider.
