You could say that white people on average have more positive character traits and I am not jealous of that. I envy those things and I strive to improve myself to be better. Some people, when they feel jealous, try to bend the truth or attack others, to make themselves feel better, without making the effort to improve themselves. That is ultimately a bad strategy in life and is the main reason why humanity doesn't seem to be progressing. But Ico believe that progress does occur; it just occurs to different degrees for different people. Since I set my goal to live forever, I have basically stopped lying to anyone. But there are 2 exceptions: 1) I still frequently download books / music / movies illegally. Mainly math books from publishers such as Springer-Verlag and Cambridge. I do believe in intellectual property rights but it is a bit inconvenient and expensive for me to get access to these books in Hong Kong. I hope to find a way to share IPs that is more egalitarian globally. In their early days, the United States also pirated a lot of books from England. 2) I don't believe in monogamy and I sometimes have cybersex or real sex with women who may be married or have boy friends (I'm not proud of this nor do I really want to admit this, but for completeness sake I must state it here) Who is right? Indeed, who is right about _what_? I believe we can find a reasonable way for people to work together globally. The extremism of communism (where the poor have the right to dictatorship) is against human nature and we have to accept that some people are luckier than others. This is less of a problem in the West but it is a serious problem in China where people tend to think that if you have made money then you must have done something evil. Yet Chinese people are all crazy about making money. Humans tend to stop thinking when they are faced with such apparent contradictions. But we need to believe in science and the truth. We can have a global free market where everyone is not exactly equal and yet we could agree that it is "fair". ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Tcf822b60238b0592-Mf9f83c3f82792acdfa3f02ff Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
