Here is an easier problem. Use clairvoyance or precognition to guess the bits in a pseudo random sequence. Or use telepathy to guess the key I used to generate the file in 2004. I included source code to make it easier to know exactly how the bits were created. https://mattmahoney.net/dc/#sharnd
You can also test your ESP algorithm to guess the bits already present to compress the file before you look at them. I'm not sure how you would program an ESP algorithm because so far nobody has succeeded. The file is 100 KB created by iterating the SHA-1 hash of the previous 20 byte output concatenated with the secret key 5000 times. -- Matt Mahoney, [email protected] On Tue, Sep 29, 2026, 7:58 PM John Rose via AGI <[email protected]> wrote: > On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 6:12 PM, Matt Mahoney wrote: > > Expert poker players are able to effectively block clairvoyance and > telepathy by wearing hats and sunglasses. > > > Yeah yeah yeah... > > Triple blind.
