The photophone was invented <150 years ago. If you told people back then that you had a device that could wirelessly transmit voice they would laugh you out of town. 500 years ago you might get burnt at the stake. There are still people on Earth who don’t believe wireless transmission of voice. Many people now don’t believe telepathy works but in the past there were probably more oddly enough. Devolution?
