P.S. There is no such thing as an invariant representation in your brain.
You can create an artificial one on paper - start with a square, and perform
a whole series of transformations, which will be recognizably forms of
square.
But even the concept of "square" in your brain (as distinct from on paper or
the artificial geometrical definition) is NOT an invariant representation -
couldn't possibly be.
You try and explain why you think it (or any other form) is - and I'll show
you why it isn't.

cars endlessly change form
houses endlessly change and diversify form... think of the recent fluid
architecture
maths and logic endlessly change and diversify form - no common patterns
or
invariant representations behind their ever new branches...
topology..Riemannian geometry... sets...freeform geometry...
if you can endlessly redraw a face or any object, so can/does the brain
