Hi,

I've certainly considered it, but I wasn't sure where I would fit and I'm

OpenCog has a lot of stuff in it, at varying levels of completion.

However, for the specific thing you say you want to do, there's a lot of
OpenCog you wouldn't need to worry about at the moment.

Our internal semantic representation has nothing in common with the link
parser representation either:

Pretty much, I suppose if you don't like this sort of representation, then
you won't want to do your project in OpenCog...

It's true that converting btw the link parser representation and OpenCog's
representation, is moderately complicated. On the other hand, the link
parser is a pretty good parser, and building a new parser that's equal good
is a lot of work...

Well, OpenCog is all open-source stuff, so you there would be no chance of
you losing control of your code in a literal sense. However, it's true
that others in OpenCog might end up forking your code in a direction you
don't like.... To estimate the odds of that I'd need to understand your
vision better...

In principle, OpenCog is intended to support multiple uses by folks with
different visions, with overlap of code wherever possible.

I am more talkative than her, but she knows the code better. We've
collaborated pretty closely on the NLP work. So if you want to explore
this, it's best to email both of us in the same mails (I'm [email protected],
she's [email protected]). Normally we're co-located in Hong Kong,
though I'm in the US for a few weeks now...

thx
