P.S. The big idea there re maths is that maths can’t actually recognize,
explain or compare any SHAPES or FORMS (other than regular maths shapes).
Maths can’t recognize a cat or a dog. Or a rock or a cloud.
Maths can quantify their forms in simple linear terms like length, width,
velocity, heat.
But it can’t tell you whether that cat or dog is well-formed. It has no concept
of good and bad form.
AGI is about dealing with the real world – recognizing cats and dogs and rocks
(and mazes) and knowing how to navigate them and handle them etc. etc. If you
ever start getting interested in actual AGI problems (like the one I gave you),
you’ll see you need other skills besides maths.
