Piaget, This question contains "Mentflex logic", namely, that some specific subset of tasks (like playing Chess or keeping track of things or answering questions) is on the way to being AGI.
Note that I demoed Dr. Eliza with a speech interface at a WORLDCOMP conference several years ago. You could discuss your chronic illnesses with it. On a good day it worked GREAT. However, sometimes the speech input made a complete mess of things. While this could sometimes out-guess many doctors, there was no "G" in this AI.
