John: What new ideas might I ask?
Narrow ai is the execution of formulaic, first-to-last step preplanned, targeted destination-tracking, pre-patterned, routine courses of action. Rational routine, structured, deterministic thought and action. In artificial specially-created environments.
AGI is the prosecution of *idea-based, *one-step-at-a-time, improvised, * adventurous, *patchwork new courses of action. Creative new, "ill-structured"/ *free thought and action. In the real world.
There you have six new ideas which form the basis of a new philosophy of AI and intelligence. Why don't you reread - and this time pay attention to - my posts?
You can check out the validity of this philosophy every hour and every day of your life. Narrow AI describes how current programs *run* - and completely fail to achieve animal/human intelligence. The principles I have outlined described how you actually *write* programs ( a diametrically opposite affair) - and how you write posts here, have conversations, go shopping and conduct every single activity of your day-to-day life - how animal/human intelligence actually function (while incorporating routines as parts).
