As robots do more complex tasks, the cost of programming them will go up. It is only the hardware that is getting cheaper. There has been a long history of efforts to improve software productivity, things like better programming languages, methodology, and tools, better collaboration, and more powerful computers. But they have not kept up with the rising cost of skilled human programmers. I predict this will be the case for decades to come, even with AGI. -- -- Matt Mahoney, [email protected] ------------------------------------------- AGI Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/21088071-f452e424 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21088071&id_secret=21088071-58d57657 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
