I was wondering why projects like OpenCog would not want to appear on kickstarter.com? Is it because the interest in AGI is not big enough yet? Or because there are no real timelines to present to people?

So many rather irrelevant projects are able to allocate a lot of funding and given the importance of actually creating AGI I don't see why Ben wouldn't want to have OpenCog to be on kickstarter? Or is there already enough cashflow from the stock trading efforts?

From what I can see http://pledgie.com/accounts/opencog is not generating nearly as much money as you probably would on other fund raising pages with a little of marketing/promotional video clips?

Sorry if that already has been discussed?
