Some have never calculated how much money we spend on paying people to
do work that machines aren't smart enough to do. Some have never
calculated how much computing power you need to run a human brain
sized neural network in real time. Some have never calculated how many
bits of input you receive through your senses during your lifetime.
Some have never calculated the information content of human DNA and
compared it to an equivalent amount of software. Some have never
calculated how many molecular computing operations it took to code
that DNA and build human civilization out of primordial goop using a
search algorithm as simple as we all wished AI were.
