An AGI could do so on your behalf, and offer up relevant insights as it observes your day-to-day activities. - *Personal Life Management: *It could also manage your estate, finances, and business for you. - *Personal Companionship: *Lonely? Instantiate a new friend or colleague. - *Automated Scientific/Mathematical Discovery* - *Automated Invention* - *Automated Industry*
One of the key features of AGI is the ability to "set it and forget it". Problems of any kind can be offloaded to an intelligent assistant at the price of the hardware and energy bills. Even if the AGI thinks at a fraction of the speed of a human this could result in enormous productivity and efficiency gains. Our single greatest asset as a species is our ability to think, and AGI represents the opportunity to extend this capability to a relatively enormous capacity. I find it hard to point to *any* field or task and not see an opportunity for practical applications of AGI.
