Because what we do is illogical, irrational, stupid and self destructive
and because only a low entropic (cooperative, empathic, loving, etc.)
society is sustainable. Our entire western society is based on spiritual
deprivation and destructive ideologies. Given our world of absolute
abundance no sane society and no superintelligent agent would do what we
are doing.
Many of us are stuck in a belief trap and our survival depends on
overcoming said belief trap. Millions of people with a somewhat higher
quality consciousness are already working on implementing new paradigms
(gift economies, commons, basic income, etc. ...) and no true AGI
(beyond human intelligence) system will play by the outdated and
destructive rules of fear, competition and personal profit.
I don't know whether we will make it through the next decade as the
positive feedback loop (the negative singularity) of high entropy
consciousness is rapidly accelerating but the concept of personal profit
will become obsolete either way.
