I've made a cursory study of structuralism in 2014. It's a movement that has waxed and waned, but it fell out of vogue, I think, in the 60s. I recommend the book by Piaget on Structuralism. There are various schools of structuralism, functional structuralism, functionalism.... a science type of structuralism vs. more of a humanities version. Structure is the centerpiece of my approach. I was hoping to have my "approximation 1" by year end, but that isn't going to happen. The basic ideas of structuralism according to Piaget are holism, transformation, and regulation. Mike A
