yes, that's a cute example :-).
I'm more refering to scenario's in line with current robot trends,
due to decreasing costs and increasing abilities:
such as the following projection, where by 2035 there will be more
autonomous robots than humans.

people continue to upgrade their smart phones. maybe later they'll
want one that can follow them around, run ahead and open doors for
them, or have a decent conversation, with plenty of validation, active
listening, bias-checking and other things easily programmed, 
which normal humans find tough to provide due to self-interest,
or due to being also limited by human biases.
