Right, that's one possibility, but I think bandwidth may be a problem. I don't quite remember brain's bandwidth, but I think it's orders of magnitude higher than Gigabit Ethernet...

True, this is a potential issue.... Just like right now, the best results in deep learning based face classification are had by those big companies with the biggest image DBs and distributed networks ...

Time to get a P2P AGI@Home (or AGI@Smartphone) initiative up and running finally? A global AGI brain running on the spare cycles of zillions of smartphones...?
