Yeah. The Novamente core replicates a lot of the functions of an OS -- caching, scheduling, logging, I/O blocking, and so forth. There are a lot of parallels. And we communicate with Novamente using the nmshell, a custom Linux shell.... For now, it seems perfectly fine to have effectively two OS layers... a real OS (Linux) and a Mind OS running on top of it.
