This last sentence is such an absurd assertion that I almost feel like I'm talking to MegaHAL... http://megahal.sourceforge.net/ > I don't know what you mean about linux being customizable for AGI... > Perhaps it is but it surely isn't documented at all... (there are some > files in the ./linux/doc/ path but there doesn't seem to be any way to > browse and read them..) Another ridiculous statement. There are scads of books on Linux in any major bookstore. > Please don't make linux the primary novamente platform, we have enough > insanity in this world as it is! =P It already *is* the major Novamente platform. But we could switch to Windows without affecting the project that much -- except for the fact that the primary developers are "linux guys." Alan, I'm now going to invoke my power as de facto list moderator to declare this silly Linux-bashing thread DEAD, DEAD, DEAD. In general, I'm not opposed to people posting rational arguments on this list as to why this or that OS is bad for AGI. But I don't consider your arguments to be rational at all, they are just plain trivially wrong. Linus *is* documented, Linux is universally acknowledged as more powerful than DOS (even by Windows boosters), etc. -- Ben Goertzel ------- To unsubscribe, change your address, or temporarily deactivate your subscription, please go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/?[EMAIL PROTECTED]
