Another ridiculous statement.  There are scads of books on Linux in any
major bookstore.

It already *is* the major Novamente platform.  But we could switch to
Windows without affecting the project that much -- except for the fact that
the primary developers are "linux guys."

Alan, I'm now going to invoke my power as de facto list moderator to declare
this silly Linux-bashing thread DEAD, DEAD, DEAD.

In general, I'm not opposed to people posting rational arguments on this
list as to why this or that OS is bad for AGI.

But I don't consider your arguments to be rational at all, they are just
plain trivially wrong.  Linus *is* documented, Linux is universally
acknowledged as more powerful than DOS (even by Windows boosters), etc.
