I am also assuming you have something more to your bliss-engine than mind-crushing pleasure. I believe the strong revulsion expressed against that is due to the appearance of futility of that state of being. If your plan is to consume endless pleasure sensation with no return on the investment of resource you represent, then "unlimited" optimization includes removing the power drain you represent to the collective who actually want to DO something.
