That's the site copyright message. The cartoon is old. I thought it was pre 1980, and I found this reference which said it was drawn in 1977. (Probably for the New Yorker magazine) <http://www.textbookleague.org/id-hx-1.htm> Like I said it is wildly popular. You get it on everything from T-shirts to coffee mugs. It is on the cover of his book of cartoons.
