What? Just because the process is not mysterious, it is not intelligent? Yes, if all life was destroyed then there is a good chance evolution could whip up another batch of intelligent life in another 3 billion years, not necessarily based on DNA. Evolution is a computer with 10^37 bits of memory (DNA in the biomass) running at over 10^29 operations per second (counting each base pair replication or DNA -> RNA -> amino acid synthesis as an operation).
